Planned Suicide Attack In Karachi
A shocking incident took place in the premises of Karachi University on Tuesday. A women’s suicide bomber blows herself up as the result atleast four people which also including Chinese nationals were killed and four people also sustained injury.
CCTV footage shows the woman wearing a black burqa standing right in front of the gate of Karachi University’s Confucius Institute. A white van was seen approaching the gates of the university. A woman blew herself up as the van was about to enter the gates. The blast was huge and smoke covered the security camera and blocked the view.
As Per CTD
As per Dawn, as soon as the van started to enter the premises the woman reportedly detonated herself. Suicide bombing was carried out by the woman, said to Raja Umar Khattab, an official from Pakistan Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

Baluchistan Liberation Army Responsible
A separatist militant group named Baluchistan Liberation Army has taken the responsibility for the attack and said the women suicide bomber carried out the attack.
In the van, there were two foreign nationals and lecturers “who were returning after teaching at the university”, as per the media reports.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reacted to the incident and expressed his grief at the incident. He assured us that the centre will help and coordinate to deal with such incidents.
He tweeted, “I am deeply grieved on the loss of precious lives including of our Chinese friends in the heinous attack in Karachi today. My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved families. I strongly condemn this cowardly act of terrorism. The perpetrators will surely be brought to justice.”
A reaction arrives towards the incident from the spokesperson from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He referred to the incident as a ‘cowardly terrorist attack’ and offered his deepest condolences.
His tweet says, “MOS @HinaRKhar on the cowardly terrorist attack in #Karachi”
“Shocked and saddened at the loss of innocent lives in a cowardly terrorist attack in Karachi. I offer my deepest condolences to the Chinese government, people and families of victims.”
Well, this is not the first time that Chinese Nationals were targeted in Karachi. In July 2021 a terror incident took place when on motorcycle two armed men wearing masks openly fired at the vehicle carrying two Chinese nationals in Karachi. The incident happened in an industrial area in which one of the officials was critically wounded as per news agency PTI.
