Checklist For The Best WhatsApp Features Released In 2022

3D Avatars

3D Avatars WhatsApp

This is the most recent one. On December 7 this year, instant messenger got a 3D avatar update. With this ability now you can create your own digital self. Just like Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook, users can create exact digital versions of themselves with their original personality traits. Your avatars can evenly match your hairstyle, skin tone, beard, face cuts etc. So, when this update finally gets a rollover, users will be able to utilise their avatars as profile pics and stickers to express a variety of expressions.

“We’re bringing avatars to WhatsApp! Now you can use your avatar as a sticker in chats. More styles coming soon across all our apps”, said Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.

Message Yourself

Message Yourself On WhatsApp

One of the most useful features of WhatsApp was rolled out on November 29th, named Message Yourself. After getting their messenger updated users can message themselves which will, as per the company, can act as reminders, To-Dos, awaited events, etc. The way to message yourself is very simple, users will just tap on the chat icon, then they will select their own contact from the list and send themselves a text just like to any other chat.

WhatsApp Communities

WhatsApp Communities

On November 3rd, not so long ago, before the Message, Yourself feature, WhatsApp launched a community update, after which now like minds can get along conveniently.

“Communities like neighbourhoods, parents at a school, and workplaces can now connect multiple groups under one umbrella to organise group conversations on WhatsApp,” said the company.

A single community channel can have multiple groups which all will be managed by a single admin. A group member in a specific community will not have the access to enter all the active groups but an admin can access any group anytime and can show the door to any member from the conversations.

Communities will help the users to get along socially with fascinating people having the same interests. Being in a community provides the feeling of never being alone, offers unlimited sources of information, and boosts morale to enhance physical and mental health.

As for privacy and security, the company said, “The alternatives available today require trusting apps or software companies with a copy of their messages – and we think they deserve the higher level of security provided by end-to-end encryption.”

The three most convenient consecutive updates were sent to WhatsApp, alongside the communities. These updates include poll creation for one-on-one or group chat, 32 membered video calling facility, and large-sized groups, as they can have up to 1024 members.

WhatsApp resembles these updates as “particularly helpful for Communities”.
