The World Health Organization can be trusted for the most appropriate information about coronavirus as the pandemic brings the world down to its knees. And they are making sure they spread a word about the same. For the same, WHO has launched a global ‘WHO Health Alert’ service of WhatsApp.

The WHO account on WhatsApp carries a Verified tick sign and can be subscribed to gain all the information about the virus. Here’s how you can activate the same.

  • First, a user must save +41 79 893 1892 number on their phone.
  • Once done, then open Whatsapp and then simply send a “hi” message on the same number.
  • You will instantly be overwhelmed with a reply with options to choose from to know about coronavirus.
  • You can thereafter reply with the designated number or emoji to get updates on the same.

The information on the number, as of now, is only available in English but soon will also be available in other United Nation languages, which are Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.
