Parle, Bajaj Auto To Stop Advertising On News Channels That Promote ‘Toxic Content’

Parle, the maker of world-renowned Parle-G biscuit among other products, has decided to stop advertising on News Channels that promote aggressive and toxic content.

As per a report by Mint, senior category head of Parle, Krishnarao Buddha, has said that the company world part ways from advertising their products on news channels allegedly involved in the TRP scam.

The TRP scam, for the unaware, in Mumbai police’s investigation is apparently wherein three news channels were named for asking people to keep their channel switched-on as to hike the viewership of the same.

Republic TV and India Today are among the news channels named in the TRP scam by the Mumbai police. While some say that the whole investigation is a plot of Mumbai police and Shiv Sena to avenge against Republic TV’s reporting on the Sushant Singh Rajput case, others believe the scam to be true.

Moreover, Parle is not the first band to take such a decision, a few days ago, Bajaj Auto has also blacklisted three channels as far as advertising is concerned.
