India’s Pizza giant Domino’s has added a new extension to the range of their service. At a time when gathering essentials is more important for people, the pizza chain has started to bring that home. Yes, like your cheesy Pizzas the food chain is also delivering your grocery order at your doorsteps.
Domino’s has adopted it’s best practices of zero-contact delivery and proper sanitization from it’s Pizza delivery to the groceries delivery as well. One can place the order for grocery similar to the orders made for Pizzas through the Domino’s app. This service has been named as ‘Domino’s Essentials’.
Jubilant FoodWorks (the parent company owning the brand Domino’s) has joined hands with ITC Foods for the purpose. Initially, the service was launched in Bengaluru. Now, it is available in Noida, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Items like atta and spices, including chili, coriander, and turmeric powder are all on the list.
The business idea much like the Zomato’s and Swiggy’s was the same. That is to utilize an available fleet of delivery executives to double up as carriers of essential goods. ITC which is a known brand and has popular products like Ashirwad Atta, Sunfeast Yippe, Bingo chips, etc was a natural choice.
“This valuable partnership with Domino’s during this pandemic will enable us to fulfill the rising demand for food products like Aashirvaad Atta and spices. I am sure consumers in Bengaluru and progressively other cities will greatly benefit from this collaboration by receiving essential food items at their doorstep during this time of being confined at homes”, Said ITC’s divisional chief executive Hemant Malik.
