The second-largest clothing brand in the world Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) is adding sarees to its wardrobe for the first and final time. So Indians, make sure you get hold of one or maybe two because ye mauka fir na ayega.
“It is the first time, and most probably, the last time that H&M is selling sarees because of ouu collaboration with an Indian designer. The idea is to surprise consumers and we will have to see what response we get and how it fits the future,” said H&M’s India CEO Janne Einola at RAI Retail Leadership Summit.

Notably, Sabyasachi-H&M saree comes as a part of the designer’s collaboration with the brand, which he announced a month ago. The focus is providing India a taste of western clothing with splashes of Indian ethnicity that would be like collectors item.
